BirdingBinder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

BirdingBinder is a bird card collecting game for iPhone. It has no accounts and no advertising, and it does not track you.

What stays with you

Your collection, binder, sightings, home region, and settings are saved on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account so they survive a new phone or a reinstall. We cannot see them.

BirdingBinder never asks for your location. You choose a state or province, and it stays in your save.

Reminders, such as a pack being ready, are scheduled on your iPhone. No server sends them.

What we collect

The app sends anonymous usage events and crash reports: which screens are opened, which features are used, and what went wrong when the app crashes. They help us fix bugs and improve the game. These events are tied to a random identifier created inside BirdingBinder, not to your name, email, Apple Account, device identifier, or any advertising identifier. They never include the birds you log or where you saw them, and they are never used to track you across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Feathers and the Binder Club are bought through Apple. Apple processes payment, and RevenueCat, our purchase infrastructure provider, records which purchases belong to the same anonymous identifier so they can be restored. We never see your payment details.

What we never do

Children

BirdingBinder is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything on your iPhone. To remove the iCloud copy too, turn off iCloud for BirdingBinder in Settings, or contact us and we will explain how. Anonymous usage events cannot be linked back to you, so there is nothing personal to delete.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
