Terms of Use
Last updated: October 13, 2026
By using BirdingBinder, you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your license to the app.
The game
Packs are earned by playing: a daily pack, quests, completed binder pages, and field packs from the birds you log. Packs are never sold, and nothing random is for sale.
Feathers
Feathers are earned from duplicate cards and quests, and can also be bought in sets of 150, 500, or 1,750. They are used only to craft cards you do not have yet. Bought Feathers are consumable, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable except as required by law or through Apple's refund process.
Binder Club
The Binder Club adds cosmetic extras: binder covers, page styles, display frames, field stats, and a year in review. It does not change pack odds or sell cards. It is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:
- Monthly at $3.99 per month.
- Yearly at $29.99 per year, with a one-week free trial.
Prices in other regions are set by Apple and shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. Your cards, binder, and sightings stay yours whether or not you subscribe.
Fair play
Logged sightings are on the honor system. Please log only birds you have seen. We may change game balance, such as rewards and crafting costs, to keep the game fair and fun.
Bird data and art
Seasonal bird data comes from the eBird Observation Dataset (Cornell Lab of Ornithology), used under CC BY 4.0. The card art and the app are owned by BirdingBinder and may not be copied or resold.
No warranty
BirdingBinder is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Seasonal bird presence is a guide, not a promise that a bird will be there.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
